The Bliss Kiss™ Ultimate Nail Care Routine

Nail Care Routine for Longer, Stronger Natural Nails (30-Day Plan)

A proper nail care routine focuses on hydration, protection, and consistency.

When nails are well-hydrated, they stay flexible—so they bend instead of breaking. By following a simple daily and weekly routine, you can reduce peeling, prevent breakage, and support stronger natural nail growth over time.

If your goal is longer, healthier nails, this 30-day routine gives you a clear system to follow.

Want Longer, Stronger Natural Nails in 30 Days?

The Ultimate Nail Care Routine is the cornerstone of the Bliss Kiss™ 30 Day Challenge. The BEST way to get started on your journey to longer, stronger nails is just a click away!

What results can you expect?

  • Less peeling
  • More flexibility (bend instead of break)
  • Fewer hangnails
  • Healthier-looking cuticles and skin

This isn’t about a quick fix. It’s about building habits that support nail health long-term.

The 30 Day Challenge is more than just a month of taking care of your nails. We want you to have the support and understanding you need to develop life long habits that you will take with you throughout the year, and throughout your life.

The image in this post shows the 6 basic steps of the Bliss Kiss™ Ultimate Nail Care Routine.

Step 1: Deep Hydration Treatment (Start Here)

Start with clean, bare nails.

Apply a generous amount of a jojoba-based nail oil (like Simply Pure™) and a protective balm (like Simply Sealed™) to your nails and surrounding skin. Then cover your hands with nitrile gloves.

Wear for at least 4 hours.

Why this matters:
Nails are made of keratin layers that need oil to stay flexible. Deep hydration helps restore that flexibility and reduces brittleness.

If your hands get sweaty:

  • Remove gloves
  • Wipe hands dry
  • Reapply oil and balm
  • Put gloves back on

Step 2: Seal with Polish

After hydration, apply nail polish.

This helps seal in the oil your nails just absorbed and protects against daily water exposure.

Why this matters:
Strong nails aren’t hard—they’re flexible. Polish helps maintain that flexibility by slowing moisture loss and adding a temporary protective barrier to your nail plate.

If you can’t wear polish:

  • Continue applying oil frequently
  • Focus on hydration after every hand wash

Step 3: Oil Daily (This is the most important step)

Apply nail oil 4–10 times per day, especially:

  • After washing your hands
  • After using hand sanitizer
  • Before bed

Focus on the cuticle area and nail plate.

Why this matters:
Daily activities strip natural oils from your nails and skin. Replacing that oil consistently keeps nails hydrated and prevents:

  • peeling
  • cracking
  • hangnails

If you’re wearing polish, the oil will help keep your layers of polish flexible (decreasing the cracking, chipping, and peeling of your polish). Oiling your cuticle lines also keeps the skin soft and prevents hangnails.

Step 4: Remove Polish Properly

Remove your polish when:

  • it starts chipping
  • or you’re ready for a new manicure

Why this matters:
Worn, chipped polish exposes nails unevenly to water and environment, which can lead to dryness and peeling.

Step 5: Mini Hydration Treatment (Before Every Manicure)

After removing polish, do a shorter/mini hydration session.

Apply oil and balm again, then wear nitrile gloves for:

  • 20 minutes to 2 hours

Why this matters:
This step replenishes moisture before reapplying polish and helps maintain nail flexibility.

Think of it as a reset before every manicure.

STEP 6: Repeat the Routine

After your mini hydration treatment:

  • Reapply polish
  • Continue daily oiling
  • Repeat the cycle

For deeper repair, do a Mega Hydration Treatment (Step 1) at least once per month—or more often if your nails are very dry.

After treating your nails and skin to a Mini Hydration Treatment, Repeat the process again.

  • Fab 5 Manicure.
  • Oil 4-10x Daily.
  • Remove polish when your manicure starts to chip.
  • Mini Before Mani.
  • Repeat.
We recommend you do a Mega Hydration Treatment at least once a month, more depending on how dry your hands and nails get.

The Bottom Line

Healthy nails come down to three things:

  • Hydration (oil regularly)
  • Protection (use polish or barrier)
  • Consistency (repeat the routine)

When nails are properly hydrated, they become flexible—and flexible nails are far less likely to peel, chip, or break.

What to Do Next

If you’re starting today:

  1. Do a deep hydration treatment
  2. Start oiling daily
  3. Protect your nails with polish or frequent oiling
  4. Follow the routine for 30 days

Small, consistent habits will give you better results than occasional intense treatments.

Common Questions About Nail Care Routines

How often should I oil my nails?

Ideally 4–10 times per day, especially after washing your hands. Consistency matters more than quantity.

Does nail polish help or hurt nails?

Polish can help protect nails by reducing water exposure, as long as it’s applied and removed properly.

How long does it take to see results?

Most people notice improvement in flexibility and reduced peeling within a few days. Some notice an immediate difference. Full nail growth takes longer, depending on your natural growth rate. Note: according to nail scientist, Doug Schoon, your nails grow ~3.0 to 3.5 millimeters per month.

That's roughly:

  • 0.1 mm per day
  • about 1/8 inch every 3–4 months

Why are my nails still peeling?

Peeling is usually caused by dehydration, water exposure, or damage from picking or improper removal. Increasing oil use and reducing trauma typically improves this.

Do nails need to “breathe”?

No. Nails receive nutrients from the bloodstream, not the air. The goal is not breathing—it’s maintaining proper hydration.
